This exhibition has been curated by the Color Network and features a multi-generational group of artists of color who are leaders in the field of Ceramics.
The Color Network’s mission is to aid in the advancement of people of color in the ceramic arts. We aim to assist artists develop, network, and create dialogue while maintaining a place for a database, resources, and mentorship. We hope to foster a community of artists of all professional and skill levels that help each other grow.
April Felipe, Yinka Orafidiya, Salvador Jiménez-Flores, and Natalia Arbelaez have been working to develop this network and hope you will join our efforts. We decided on the name The Color Network to pay homage to artists like Robert Scroggins and Paul Andrew Wandless who came before us in the ceramics field and have been doing this work. We look forward to continuing this work, growing, and expanding our efforts to the greater arts community.
