Eva Conrad has been working as a studio ceramic artist since 2018. They got her footing in the rich craft environment of Appalachia, both in western North Carolina and Pittsburgh, PA. She now lives in Queens, New York where she makes hand built functional and sculptural ceramics that demand your attention. Teaching has been a big part of their journey as an artist that strives to continually evolve. Her work stands a part of the current resurgence of the Pattern and Decoration Movement, what she names as maximalism in response to minimalist gentrification aesthetics.
