Tiered Ceramic Vessels

These extruded and hand-built ceramic vessels are functional objects intended to bring awareness to the act of choosing, placing, arranging, and compartmentalizing. The forms are inspired by 17th Century Dutch tulip vases and retro futurist spacecraft and architecture. These functional fountain sculptures can hold your baubles and flowers at the same time! Candy, jewelry, greenery, it all looks good in this architectural piece. Each Container is a unique handmade sculpture, signed and dated by the artist.

Available in a taller version and a wider version, the tall fountain has a crackle glaze finish, the wider fountain is warm white.

Erica Prince is a multidisciplinary artist and designer whose work presents opportunities for exploration of potentialities within lifestyle design. Prince seeks to give viewers/users/participants perspective on the here and now by presenting frameworks within which they can explore variation. Her works have been featured in T: New York Times Style Magazine, Architectural Digest, Design Sponge, Vice, Artsy, Wallpaper and Canadian Art. 

Prince earned her BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art and her MFA from Tyler School of Art and Architecture. She has been awarded residencies at Banff Centre, The Vermont Studio Center, The Garrison Institute and The Fabric Workshop and Museum.

Recent projects and exhibitions include Lipstick and Load at Vox Populi Gallery in Philadelphia, a limited edition ceramics collaborations with Of a Kind, Osamu Kobayashi and Erica Prince at Morgan Lehman Gallery in New York and The Transformational Makeover Salon as a commissioned project for PULSE Miami Beach. She recently relocated from Brooklyn NY to West Palm Beach FL to teach drawing and printmaking at A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts.
