Just as sediment layers build over time, shaping the landscapes we inhabit, Moore and Orr's works reflect the layering of histories, memories, and processes within their respective mediums.
Sediment brings together the collaborative work of married artists Jaydan Moore and Christine Orr, offering a poetic reflection on time, transformation, and materiality. Just as sediment layers build over time, shaping the landscapes we inhabit, Moore and Orr's works reflect the layering of histories, memories, and processes within their respective mediums.
Moore's intricate metalworks embody a sense of preservation and reclamation, while Orr’s delicate weavings and clay sculptures explore organic growth and the tactile qualities of earth and fiber. Together, their pieces engage in a dialogue about accumulation—both physical and emotional—and how the layers of our shared experiences shape the worlds we create. This exhibition invites viewers to consider how the smallest fragments of our past continue to influence the present.
Opening Reception Friday, Sept. 13 from 5-9pm. This exhibition is on view through October 12.
