WILDLY PIGMENTED

Please join us for the artist's Reception Friday, April 19 from 5-9pm.

This collection of new work demonstrates Annabel's confidence. In her second solo exhibition Wrigley re-asserts her interest in color while allowing room for rich surface exploration. Hand stitched marks layer on top of machine quilted areas, highlighting the artist's concentration. Additionally some areas without top stitching at all allow the color to be the singular focal point. Surfaces become as much a conversation as her undeniably signature use of intensely saturated fabrics.

Deliberate and feverish, this wildly pigmented exhibition blends intuitive additive image construction with technically masterful virtuosity.
